Property prices fell at their fastest rate in more than a decade in February, as weak sentiment continues to batter the market.
Prices fell by 1.1% in the year to February which is the first time prices have fallen since June 2020 and the weakest performance since November 2012, said Nationwide.
On a monthly basis, property prices fell for the sixth month in a row and fell by 0.5% to £257,406 between January and February. Buyer demand has been dampened by double-digit inflation, higher borrowing costs, and the cost of living crisis.
